Here, silence, water, and birdlife come together, and you feel the calm immediately.<\/p><p>We meet at Elipsen and begin with a relaxed walk out towards the lake. On the way, the landscape opens up and the wide horizons give a special sense of space and freedom. From the dam you\u2019ll get <strong>sweeping views<\/strong> across the lake and a perfect overview of the area. Along the way, I\u2019ll share the story of Fils\u00f8 and the nature restoration that transformed the landscape. We walk at a pace that suits everyone, with plenty of time to stop, look, and listen.<\/p><p>Birdlife changes with the seasons, so no two tours are ever quite the same. Some days we see large flocks of geese and ducks; other days birds of prey hunting over the reedbeds. From the birdwatching towers we get the best vantage points and can truly \u201cread\u201d the lake. With binoculars and a spotting scope, you\u2019ll see the details, even when the birds are far out on the water.<\/p><p>Wildlife here is wonderfully varied, and it\u2019s not unusual to head home having seen a W<strong>hite-tailed Eagle, Cranes<\/strong>, and double-digit numbers of the strikingly white great egret.<\/p><p>Fils\u00f8 often gives you that rare feeling of being right in the middle of nature, without being far from everything.
